Technology Services

Technology should be transparent. At Wireless Neighborhoods we help our partners deploy and maintain computers, applications, and networks that function the way they should: trouble free.

Wireless Neighborhoods is committed to the technological empowerment of non-profit organizations by providing information technology resources of the highest caliber:

  • High speed Internet connectivity
  • Computer/Network assistance and training
  • Remote management services
  • Email, web and application hosting
  • On-site assistance

Internet connectivity

Wireless Neighborhoods was founded to bring high bandwidth internet connections to areas without access to broadband. We now provide internet connectivity in several forms as part of our broad portfolio of services.

Computer/Network Assistance and training

Computers and networks need regular maintenance for them to operate efficiently. Wireless Neighborhoods can help provide your organization with a sound technology foundation and training so you can solve common problems on your own.

Our network expansion and installation services are prompt, professional, and free of charge. We maintain a catalogue of free and low-cost software to help keep workstations running in top condition. Also, for organizations with community outreach or education programs we can help deploy labs of surplus computers, made freely available through our partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools, and configure them so that they are easy to maintain.

Remote Administration

For sites with many computers or with no IT staff Wireless Neighborhoods can perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot many problems remotely. By using remote administration software we can temporarily take control of problematic computers and resolve a wide variety of problems from the confines of our office in East Liberty.

Leverage our Servers

By connecting to the Wireless Neighborhoods network our partner organizations have direct access to our servers. This allows us to provide our partners with: email, web hosting, application hosting, and off-site data backup.

On-site Assistance

We do everything we can to empower our partners but if you need advice or run into something confusing we are only a phone call away. If we can't find a solution over the phone we're happy to come out and fix it for you.
